The Dispute Resolution team supports clients to resolve dispute through arbitration, conciliation, facilitation, litigation, mediation and negotiated rule-making. The Firm represents a wide range of clients in the High Court, Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court as well as in specialised tribunals and the lower courts.
Our team can handle complex and high value disputes in various areas/fields including, civil litigation, commercial and contractual disputes, competition matters, constitutional matters, election matters, employment and labour matters, environmental matters, judicial review, insolvency causes, intellectual property (IP) disputes, public procurement and tax matters.
In the Financial Services sphere, we act for various financial services institutions and offer them a wide range of services, including structuring transactions, providing legal opinions, debt and equity financing, banking regulation, project finance and
securities.
With respect to Real Estate, we offer legal and advisory services in the real estate sector to developers, purchasers and financiers of both commercial and residential properties. We advise our clients on infrastructure financing and regulatory matters of development projects as well as drafting required documents such agreements for lease and sale, leases, licenses, powers of attorney etc.
We also advise and provide legal services on land use and planning. Our Dispute Resolution, Financial Services and Real Estate Practice Group is led by Mr. Andrew Mwango as the Team Leader. The other team members in the Practice are Sisule Musungu, Chege Waitara, and Cynthia Chebet.
