Chege is a Consultant Partner at the Firm. He is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya admitted to the bar in 2002. He holds a Master’s degree in International Law and Economics from the World Trade Institute at the University of Berne, Switzerland where he specialised in the law and economics of international trade. He also holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from The University of Nairobi and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. He is a member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) and the East Africa Law Society (EALS).
With his abiding interest in the intersection of law and economics, Chege has practiced trade and commercial law for over 15 years. He currently lectures in International Trade Law at the School of Law, Riara University. He also teaches contract and commercial law and IP as well as criminal law. He regularly undertakes consultancies, most recently for a large multilateral organisation and the Judiciary of Kenya. He is a former Associate Editor at the Africa International Trade Review and a former Chief Executive Officer at the Plato Institute, Nairobi. In addition, he served as a member of the National Committee on the WTO under the Ministry of Trade in Kenya between 2004 and 2005. Chege has a strong publication record in his areas of expertise.
