Sisule Musungu

Sisule is the Managing Partner and Team Leader IP, Trade and Energy Practice Group. He also doubles up as the Chairman of Anza Village. He is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over 22 years post-admission experience. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a Commissioner for Oaths, Notary Public, Patent Agent and Certified Secretary (CS). He is also a Member of the Society for International Economic Law (SIEL), the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), the East Africa Law Society (EALS), Institute of Certified Secretaries (ICS) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators – Kenya Chapter.  Sisule has studied and/or worked in Kenya, South Africa, Switzerland, Uganda and the United States of America. In 2007/2008 he served as an Associate Research Scholar at Yale Law School. He holds a Master of Laws (LLM) Degree from the University of Pretoria, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from The University of Nairobi, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of law. 

He is a leading commercial law, dispute resolution as well as IP, trade and energy law expert and practices in a number of areas, including administrative law; arbitration; banking and financial services; broadcasting and telecommunications; civil, commercial and constitutional litigation; elections; employment and immigration; energy; health and pharmaceuticals; IP; public procurement; tax; and trade. Sisule also regularly consults for or has acted as an expert advisor to various international and regional organisations, including COMESA, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the United Nations Joint Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), the World Health Organization (WHO), WIPO and the WTO, among others. He is is a published author with a strong publication record.
